We all know that it’s important to not ignore your prospective residents’ objections, but coming up with solutions can be pretty difficult, particularly on the fly. While you’re touring a prospective resident, you’ll want to have all of the answers to alleviate their concerns, but it’s tough to have these answers when you’re not quite sure just what the questions are going to be. At Occupancy Solutions, we want to break down a few common solutions to a few common objections, and this can help you to know just what to offer when a problem is brought up.

Some common solutions are:

•    “Where’s the gym?” – In today’s world, getting fit is a big deal, and if your community doesn’t provide a gym, this may come as some concern to the touring prospective resident. Rather than ignoring their concern, you can do a little research on a few local gyms in the area, and provide them with this information when they raise the question.

•    “This carpet isn’t my color.” – If the carpet, tile, or wall color is of concern, there are solutions you can offer up for this need as well. For instance, offering suggestions on area rugs, asking them what colors they do like, or offering to show them other residences with slightly different color themes can make a big impact in alleviating this concern.

•    “This room is too small.” – When size is brought up as a concern, you can provide different ideas on arranging furniture and using space wisely in order to provide a solution. Also, you can use this as an opportunity to show how the closet space can be used, and what other benefits come with the space.

•    “There’s no playground?” – For families, finding a place for children to unwind is important, but if they inquire about a playground, it can benefit you to have a list of parks and recreational areas nearby on hand. This will give parents an alternative play-place idea for their children, and help to fix their objection.

Objections can come in all shapes and sizes, but it’s always best to be prepared. One great idea is to keep track of all the objections that come up, and research different solutions regarding those that seem to come up most frequently. At Occupancy Solutions, we want to help you with the solutions to all of the objections you may face, and for more information, simply contact us today!
