If you plan to use community events to keep residents engaged, and draw new interest in new prospective residents, holidays are incredibly useful opportunities. No matter the season, there is a holiday coming up that you can celebrate with your residents and their families, and we want to provide you with a few ideas you can use for some of the holidays coming up within the next few months:

•    Easter egg hunt – For the little ones, or everyone, in your community, hosting an Easter egg hunt to celebrate the spring season is a great idea. It can really get residents out and engaged with one another, and attract passersby with the fun everyone is having. The eggs can be filled with change or small candies, and hidden all around your community area!

•    Throw a Memorial Day picnic – A patriotic Memorial Day picnic can allow your residents to have a great time getting out and sunning off that cooped up feeling they’ve had during the cool winter and early spring seasons. The picnic can be open to residents and families, or open to the public, and this can be a really wonderful way for everyone to get out, socialize, and engage.

•    Have a 4th of July block party – A block party with music, games, activities for kids, and the grill going all day can really make your community the fun and inviting place you want it to be. The block party can be open to all, and even finish off with sparklers and ice cream to celebrate the nation’s birthday!

Holidays are strewn all throughout the year, and they present a really fun opportunity for you to make your residents feel appreciated and market your community in an engaging way. At Occupancy Solutions, we know how great these events can be at engaging the public, and if you need ideas on incorporating holidays into your community events, simply check us out at OccupancySolutions.com today!
